Country Life: 125 Years of Countryside Living hosted at The Lanesborough
As part of the Lanesborough Literary Tea series in partnership with Rizzoli New York, the Regency landmark hotel at London’s Hyde Park Corner is proud to present an Afternoon Tea with Country Life Magazine. John Goodall, Architecture Editor of Country Life and Giles Kime, Executive and Interiors Editor of Country Life will discuss their new book, Country Life: 125 Years of Countryside Living in Great Britain from the Archives of Country Life.
Country Life magazine is renowned for its unprecedented access to the magnificent castles and palaces, as well as private estates and manor houses, that dot the countryside from Dorset to the Scottish highlands. You are invited to a virtual tour of the loveliest and most important houses and gardens from the last century, from Holkham Hall, Chatsworth, and Burghley, to Munstead Wood, Sissinghurst, and Kelmscott. Live the romance of the British countryside, the seasons, landscapes, gardens, and great houses that epitomize British country life, through a talk by Giles Kime and John Goodall, all illustrated with beautiful, exclusive images from the Country Life archive.
The event will take place on Wednesday 25th October 2023 at 4pm at The Lanesborough hotel in London, with a glass of Champagne (non-alcoholic alternative available) and Afternoon Tea canapes.
Signed copies of the book will be available for sale on the day.
