French restaurant La Poule au Pot is adding grouse to its menu to mark the beginning of the Glorious Twelfth (the 121-day-long grouse shooting season).

The beloved Belgravia dining spot will offer grouse sourced from The Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Served with daily vegetables, celeriac mash, and a rich game sauce, this classic dish will be available from Wednesday 14 August until the end of the shooting season.

Priced at £39.50, the restaurant's signature dish sees grouse wrapped in bacon before cooking, to give it a crispy finish.

In addition to grouse, La Poule au Pot will feature Red Partridge on the menu in September, followed by pheasant and hare in October.

Diners can enjoy the meal alfresco on the restaurant's sunny terrace.
