When it comes to making mindful purchases, Belgravia’s beautiful shopping districts offer plenty of conscious choices. From recycled gold jewellery, refillable candles and handmade shoes, to B Corp brands like Daylesford Organic, With Nothing Underneath and Edward Bulmer, there are gorgeous gifts for everyone when shopping for sustainable Christmas presents in Belgravia.

With Nothing Underneath

Women’s shirt brand WNU achieved the holy grail of B Corp certification in 2022. The Elizabeth Street boutique, founded by former Tatler staffer Pip Durell, specialises in shirts designed for women but inspired by men’s tailoring. Popular fits include The Boyfriend and The Weekend, and they come in a range of fabrics from organic cotton and Tencel, to recycled silk with buttons made from corozo nuts. Add a personal touch with embroidered monogramming on a cuff or front panel.

Daylesford Organic

Another B Corp-certified brand, the Daylesford Organic café and shop on Pimlico Road has all the bases covered when it comes to Christmas shopping and gifting. Whether ordering the (organic) turkey, Christmas pudding or the brand’s award-winning waxed Adlestrop cheese, Daylesford is a one-stop shop for all your festive food. Not to mention beautiful limited-edition table linen, tree decorations (handmade in India by women from the Lady Bamford Charitable Trust) and even whimsical Christmas crackers, featuring wildlife illustrations by artist Nina Fuga.

SMUK

The Danes are known for their excellent design, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at stylish SMUK London, the eco-friendly hair and beauty studio, founded by Danish make-up artist Miabella Ristorp. The name means ‘beautiful’ in Danish, and founder Miabella aims to achieve that both on the inside and out, by hosting talks and events for women alongside the salon’s hair services like styling, organic colour and Oway repair treatments.

Nicola Donati

Give a new lease of life to a piece of pre-loved clothing, by getting it altered at friendly local tailors Nicola Donati. Whether transforming an inherited vintage gown into a mini dress, or simply letting down a hem or taking in a waist , Nicola’s fabulous team on Kinnerton Street can be trusted with the most precious of items.

Rachel Vosper

No glass goes to waste at chandler Rachel Vosper’s Kinnerton Street atelier, thanks to her unique refill service (from just £24). Bring any suitable vessel, whether that’s a previously used candle, treasured bowl or vase, and Rachel will have it refilled with one of seven signature scents from her fragrance library. Rachel’s candles are made using natural beeswax and a pure paraffin (highly refined to give a clean burn), and the wick is cotton too.

Soane

Help keep traditional British craftsmanship alive, by treating someone to a gorgeous piece of rattan from Lulu Lytle’s Soane Britain store on Pimlico Road. Soane’s stunning rattan furniture and lighting is made by hand by artisans in the brand’s own Leicestershire workshop, where apprenticeships are single handedly keeping the skilled art of weaving alive for future generations.

Adem London

Pick up a perfect stocking filler for a teen at hairdresser Adem Oygur’s flagship Ebury Street Adem London salon. Adem produces his own range of nourishing, organic haircare products, from shampoo and conditioner to body and face oils. The range is made from hazelnuts, harvested by hand from his family’s farm back home in Turkey.

Robert Kime

An antique gift is not only mega thoughtful and one-of-a-kind, but it helps reduce the amount of product going to landfill. The late and great Robert Kime’s shop on Pimlico Road is a treasure trove of wonderful antiques pieces, from furniture and rugs to textiles and art.

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

Handmade presents always mean the most. Instead of buying new, upcycle a second-hand purchase with a lick of paint, or simply get creative decorating wooden tree decorations or pine cones with Edward Bulmer’s range of plant-based paints. The B Corp brand has shades inspired by the natural world, with plenty of greens and red, earthy tones perfect for a traditional tonal Christmas.
